The Friends of Penn Area Library will hold their used book sale on Friday, August 2nd (9:00-5:00) and Saturday, August 3rd (9:00-3:00). Items are priced to sell individually or “by the bag:” $7 for the first bag and $5 for each additional bag. Everything is a bargain, and all proceeds benefit the Library’s services and programs!
If you’d like to help at the sale, please call the Library at 724-744-4414 to volunteer. Help is especially needed for setup on Thursday, August 1st at 3:00, and again on Saturday, August 3rd at 3:00 to pack up the remaining books.
Donations for the Friends’ book sales (held in March, July, and November) are accepted throughout the year during regular library hours. Please do not leave donations outside. Popular fiction and nonfiction books in good condition are always needed; jigsaw puzzles and recent crafting magazines are welcomed. Please do not donate textbooks, encyclopedias, Readers Digest Condensed Books, VHS tapes, or old, musty books, as these items do not sell and must be discarded. Please call the library in advance if you need help bringing the items into the building.
