Adult Reading Programs
The library typically conducts several reading programs for adults
throughout the year.
Computer Classes
Computer classes for adults are offered at the
Penn Area Library. Instructor Joe Hershberger teaches classes on
basic computers skills and use of the Internet. All classes
are held in the library's computer lab, and are typically held
on Tuesdays beginning at 6:00 p.m. Contact the
library for more information about upcoming classes.
Chess Classes
Chess classes by instructor Mr. Budden will begin at the library again in the
spring on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in chess lessons, please
contact the library. There is no age limit.
Q-Pals
Quilting
Group
The library's Q-Pals quilting group meets on the
first Thursday of each month from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the
library. During each meeting, a new technique is taught by
one of the members or work is done on a UFO (unfinished object).

Quilting Connection Group
Quilting Connection meets at the library on each Wednesday
morning from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The group has made numerous
quilts that have been part of a raffle for St. Barbara Church.
